Hey kids, the internet has once again been improved. If you sent me a description or schedule change (I know someone sent me a request for a form to be uploaded) and I didn't get back to you or it's not on the page as you like it, I probably lost your email because I'm flaky. Due to Fall break, programming will be on hiatus from Friday October 8th through Tuesday October 12th, to resume on Wednesday. DJs can feel free to have their shows, but nothing is obligatory.

(Those of you who have some web programming skillz will probably notice my code is really messy. Unfortunately, I know about as much about server-side scripts as a retarded moose. Deal.)

All incoming first year students,
WXBC will be hosting an open house at some point during L&T. We would really like for all you who are interested in becoming involved in the station to come buy. Look for more information once you arrive on campus. Also, anyone who is interested should feel free to email either me or Nick with your ideas for the coming semester. Just go to the staff page to find our email addresses.

Attention all listeners and potential listeners: Your friendly DJs at Corporal Jigsore Quandary feel it is necessary to alert you to the fact that your current taste in music is utterly degenerate, effete and weak.

We understand that this might trouble you, and thus also are here to provide you with a solution: death metal. If you feel that you simply must replace your current laughable aesthetic with something a little bit more noble and/or majestic, then we suggest - nay, implore - that you allow us to present you with the finest in extreme metal: death, black, thrash and doom.

Else, we fear that you will remain stuck in the mire of mediocre mainstream musical experience and will be consumed by the glorious and inhuman fires of metal when Ragnarok comes.

Nookie Not Nukie pictures up n' runnin'

Jesse suggested I put up the Nookie Not Nukie pictures, which seemed like a good plan. And in a kind of lazy, round-about fashion I did:

I'd stare at you with repressed rage. "See, the staff button's highlighted. I notice these things," you'd say smugly. I hate it when you get like this; you know that. Don't you think I have better things to do than learning how to make a gif? Don't you think I've thought back to that day when I said 'I do' and wondered if today, I would say, 'I don't'? Don't you think we've had enough fights like this?

Anyway, so that's up. If anyone has any more pictures (or has any ideas about making a "party" button), send the emails my way.

A new history written by yours truly is now up on the WXBC website (click here). It's pretty scant, so if you happen to know more about the station's history, particularly in the 50s and 60, drop me a line.

The new studio will be finished in the next couple weeks. In the meantime, why not come to the WXBC Feel Good Dance Party this Saturday at 10pm in the Old Gym? Great funk and soul dance music, refreshments, and free WXBC T-shirts.

New deadline: 5pm, Sunday February 1st. Pick up an application at the Campus Center Post Office and drop it in campus mail.

WXBC DJs are, like, 830% cooler than the average Bard student, so do yourself a favor and head on down to the campus center.
