MONDAY

12-2: Erica Cohen-Taub- “Something With a Bang” A lot of good indie rock/pop, a little bit of crappy 90s music, a decent amount of classic rock and other music that doesn't fit under the previous 3 genres, some baseball talk, and something...with a bang.

2-4: Andrew Lench- “Slo’s Music Meltdown” We will glide from rockin’ rhythms to booty beats, folk blues, and free jazz, new rock and old rock.

4-6: Johanna Hauser- “Tunsis the Driving Cat” Theme shows with various types of music.

6-8: Myles Curtis- “Used Books” An attempt to create the experience of a used book store, through readings accompanied by music “in the key of” literature.

8-10: Karen Trindle and Molly Geiger- “Professional Hot Girl Radio” Karen the Coquette and Hot Ta Molly team up specifically to save your day and ask, for the 4^th and final year, to step into our office, baby.

10-12: Jean-Luc Uunger and Tyler Dusenbury- “Marine Scene Radio Show” We’re not trying to be clever. We’re not trying to impress you. This is real, down to earth, maritime music.

12-2: Christina Reitemeyer and Griffin Epstein- “Savage Cabbage” Indie rock standards and punked out favorites, unsigned NYC and local bands, with the occasional foray into the absurd. Coverage of activist politics, music news, spurts of live music and sprays of short story narration.

TUESDAY

12-2: Raissa St. Pierre- “Jazz Pharmacy” Jazz LP’s from a vast record collection; digging deep in the mine of medicine to cure whatever ails you.

2-4: Ben Stevens- “Naked Noise” The best in a cappella music.

4-6: Stephanie Harris and Jon Sargent- “The Inflatable Bird of Prey and the Intergalactic Skintight Jeans” Power punk, fantasy metal, and other guilty pleasures.

6-8: Andy Hardman- “Sounds For the Soul” A steady blend of independent hip hop, old school hip hop, reggae, soul, rock steady, dancehall, and anything else that rocks you to heaven or hell.

8-10: Karen Soskin- TBA. Tuesday’s top 30.

10-12: Jeff Brodsky- “Doors That Slam” Different themes each week, including tropicalia, prog-rock, music about war and protests, and shows devoted to certain bands.

12-2: Abe Jellinek- “Rambling with Abe” A waltz through the field of song.

WEDNESDAY

12-2: Robinson Martinez- “Latino Latino” Conducted in English and in Spanish, with short stories, poems, interviews, and more.

2-4: Marten Elder and Gus Hoffman- “Split Personality” Every week, we will each pick a musical genre we would like to play, for example Alt-Country and Synth-Pop. Also included will be small features on various music related things such as advanced releases and upcoming shows.

4-6: Ananta- “Trance State” I will be mixing trance tracks into live radio shows.

6-8: Elias Primoff, Elizabeth Conn-Hollyn, and Sam Ewing- “This Ain’t No Game!” Combining the absurdity of game shoes with amazing rock-solid jams.

8-10: Veronica Forman and Lola Sinreich- “Secret Dating” <3mixtape<3

10-12: Matt Wing and Max Z-T- “Max’s Hour, Matt’s Hour”

12-2: Kelliann Delano- “Electric Funeral” All kinds of metal. Wimps and posers, leave the hall.

THURSDAY

12-2: Michael Baker- “The Silent Techno Minority” Shut your blinds, put on some headphones, pull out your glowsticks, and let the beat move you.

2-4: Vanessa Rijo- “Nihongo No Ongaku” A wide variety of Japanese rock music spanning the late 80’s though today.

4-6: Marissa Solow- “Marissa’s Deep Sea Adventures Into the Sublime” A divine slice of that which you know you should listen to both for your sake and everyone else’s.

6-8: Jonathan Beesen and Kaja Engle- “The Jomabe Kamoen Show” Indian classical music.

8-10: Michael Benhabib, Jared Van Zweeden, and Ben Feingold- “Binge and Purge” A show that concentrates on food and food reviews, but we also discuss current events and gossip.

10-12: Joanna Leitch, Alexandra Church, and Christina Friskey- “Rock Paper Scissor Shoot!” It’s like grade school without the braces, and now you’ve got herpes.

12-2: Joyce Li and Christina Friskey- “Everything Was Beautiful and Nothing Hurt” High emotions, stormy music, and advice galore.

FRIDAY

12-2: Liv Halverstrom, Lisa Ellerby, and Jen Minnen- “The Dunderhead Hour” An eclectic mix of music and spoken word, with weekly themes.

2-4: Camilla Aikin- TBA. Music from the most underrated decade.

4-6: Mike Rubin, Eliza Wicks-Frank, Lowell Clare, and Sara Frier- “Manifest Destiny” Every week, we will realize God’s wish and go West across this great nation, following the musical path to glory.

6-8: Amelia Clune, Faqir Usman, and Eric Baldetti- “Jazz Meets South Asia” Classic and contemporary jazz, music from South Asia, and occasional interviews with international students to debut music from their regions of the world.

8-10: Jordan Volz and Trevor Johnson- TBA. We play lots of underground/independent rock music and have some dialogue, picking from current events, etc.

10-12: Noah Weston- “Watch Your Grill, Dun” Why sound exists, let alone radio.

12-2: Kelly Mears and Phillip Penka- “Soundtracking” A music show in which three scenarios are conceived by us and voted on by the audience. The winning scenario is addressed at the beginning of each show, and the selected music will serve as soundtrack of the given scenario, and will be of varying genres, more or less contemporary.

2-4: Kavi Gupta and Joe Cutler- “Homeopathic Hip Hip” Playing tracks, discussing topics of hip hop, both the history and current events.

SATURDAY

12-2: Glenna Broderick- “Wanderlust” International or from just up the road, traditional or experimental, the music features a wide array of artists and styles.

2-4: Daniel Wilbur, Danny Severance, and Ricky Gluski- “The Dan and Danny Show (with Rocky Gluski)” Based on music and sketch comedy/observational humor through dialogue between the DJ’s.

4-6: Erin Bagley and Allison Furey- “On Tape” Check out our show to talk about music, movies, and celebrities. We’ll also be listening to the music and sound clips from movies and keep you updates on concerts and screenings in the area.

6-8: Caroline Stewart, Vince Chiarito, and Lauren Wessler- “Morbidly Obese” Exploring mortality by blurring the boundaries of morbidity through song, with a series of themed evenings.

8-10: Anthon Kingsley- “It Might Be Magic” Everything you need to fulfill your life. Complete with half-hour non-stop party music segments, chilled out segments, interview segments, and line segments.

10-12: Nick Laursen and Emiljana Ulaj- “The Erratically Manic Mood Swing Show” Our whimsical tour of music will take you on a journey of the human mind, picking you up at the melancholia bus stop, and taking you on a trip through different emotional countries, before the final stop at sheer ecstasy, or what some might call a dance party.

12-2: Jon Kaplan- “Trees Are Down!” Tune in for excellent music, perhaps with some brief discussion.

SUNDAY

12-2: Alexandra Stahl and Nina Feldman- “Sounds Like Change” A show that inspires. We’ll play stories of uprising that have passes and failed, by way of music and spoken word.

2-4: Peter Jaros and Sarah Keezing- “Jesus on the Radio” We bring you good, wholesome, and generally little-known music interspersed with invigorating conversation, and maybe you’ll even learn something!

4-6: Julie Blusse, Mirjam Grunefelder, Jonathan Gorga, and Anja Boenicke- “Eurotrash (and friends)” A show made by international students and one token America. We’ll entertain our listeners with goofy accents and ballistic international cultural political tunes.

6-8: Stephen Perry- “Tickle Me Emo” Emo, hardcore, and indie. Expect lots of guests, and a bit of live acoustic performance by yours truly.

8-10: Blake Malin- “Jazz and Politics” Jazz music and political discussion. You should listen because we're smarter, funnier, and more musically inclined than you are.

10-12: Owen Conlow- “The Killing Floor” Rock and/or roll.

12-2: Chris Rice- “The Troglodytic Funhouse” Hear news and stories geared toward paranoids, also gnarly jams from the present, past, and future!

General Staff Meeting for new and returning DJ's will be held this Sunday at 2pm the the Campus Center MPR. Attendance is mandatory and could affect the status of whether or not you receive a show! Please contact me with any time conflicts regarding attendance at the meeting before Sunday.

Hey DJs,

A few weeks ago some of you started emailing me in regards to the application at www.loveandradio.com/wxbcapp.html not working. Yes, sadly it is true- there is a problem with the server hosting it and they won't support the type of script the application runs off any longer. We are going to get this taken care of before January 28th (application due date) even if it means resorting to old hard-copy paper applications. If you try to fill out the application online, it will either give you an error message or claim that it was sent successfully yet never make it to my mailbox. So yes, if you've already filled one out you're going to have to do it again at some point.

I apologize for this inconvenience and will let you know ASAP when it's safe to submit an application online.

Hey everyone-

Applications for Spring '05 are now online at www.loveandradio.com/wxbcapp.html. I sent out an email (in fact, three of the correcting the link..) to everyone on the wxbc dj@yahoogroups.com list as well as an announce. Those emails have further info about exactly how the selection process is going to work for next semester. Basically, your deadline to remember is Jan. 28th. You've got lots of time to fill out an application, but please consider doing it over Intersession when I will have more time to look them over and consider your time slot.

Due to the generosity of the WXBC higher-ups, this Saturday, I'll be holding it down from 6 pm to 10 pm, with non-stop, cat-swinging, face-biting rap music.

Expect, among other things, new, unreleased jawns, freestyle sessions featuring myself, Akie Bermiss, and others, some kind of prize giveway, and a surprise finish that may or may not include a romantic cliffhanger.

Sadly, we just discovered that renovations for the new studio won't be complete till November, so our regular programming schedule will be on hold for the fall semester.

However, have no fear! WXBC will continue to do special broadcasts throughout the semester (like RaptorRadio) so keep checking this page throughout for announcements.

Also, The Outside World Radio Project will continue to be produced by WXBC and broadcast on WMBC at (University of Maryland, Baltimore) and WSOE (Elon University), so be sure to tune in to one of those stations.
